From Clem Hobbs, April 22, 2005:

Both Nathaniel & Mary stated that they were from Wilbraham when they married, but neither were born there and they lived in Kirtling after their marriage. In the parish registers for Great and Little Wilbraham there is no record of Nathaniel's birth. Some ten years ago I commissioned the Cambridgeshire County Archivist to search the existing parish reigisters, Bishop's Transcripts, Poor Law Records and Hearth Tax records for Nathaniel's birth date and location. Nothing was found and the Archivist was of the opinion that most likely he was botn in another neighbouring county.
